چکیده

The aim of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the occurrence bacteremia in severe mastitis cases dairy cows. Milk and corresponding blood samples 77 were bacteriologically examined. All (milk blood) incubated aerobically anaerobically also role obligate anaerobic microorganisms addition aerobic mastitis. Bacteremia occurred if identical bacterial strains isolated from milk same case. In addition, pathogen shedding examined, data animals weather collected determine associated factors for If Gram-negative bacteria detected samples, a Limulus test (detection endotoxins) performed without growth bacteria. 74 (96.1%), microbial samples. most-frequently Escherichia (E.) coli (48.9%), Streptococcus (S.) spp. (18.1%), Klebsiella (K.) Prototheca zopfii mastitis in a herd of dairy cows.

Mastitis caused by the colourless alga Prototheca zopfii was diagnosed in 17 of 120 cows in a dairy herd. Infection occurred in animals varying from 3-14 years old and was present in one to four quarters of each cow. Nine cases were associated with clinical mastitis characterised by the presence in milk of flakes or small clots. Somatic cell counts consistent with subclinical mastitis (>500 x 1...

Effect of mastitis on milk perchlorate concentrations in dairy cows.

Recent surveys have identified the presence of perchlorate, a natural compound and environmental contaminant, in forages and dairy milk. The ingestion of perchlorate is of concern because of its ability to competitively inhibit iodide uptake by the thyroid and to impair synthesis of thyroid hormones. A recent study established that milk perchlorate concentrations in cattle highly correlate with...

Possibility of Early Detection of Bovine Mastitis in Dairy Cows Using Thermal Images Processing

Bovine mastitis (BM) is a prevalent condition on dairy farms, affecting both livestock health and reducing profitability. This study investigated the feasibility of diagnosing BM in Holstein dairy cattle using thermography. To increase the detection between healthy cattle and unhealthy one and to better compare the results from thermal images, a number of parameters including somatic cell count...
